The Navajo Reservation in Arizona provides a unique opportunity to share the love of Jesus in a cultural context very different from Southern Middle Tennessee. KinFt. Definace is a small town near the Navajo capital of Window Rock and is deep in the rural region of the reservation.
Our team’s mission will be to:
- Encourage and support the missionaries, Terry & Pam Lawrence, in their ongoing work in ministering to the small congregation there.
- Conduct various work projects in the community either for the church facilities, church members or to carry wood to families for their wood-burning stoves.
- Assist ongoing efforts to outreach into the communities around Ft. Defiance.
- Explore building a relationship with the local school possibly in VBS-style games, activities & learning.
We were connected with this mission through the work of Nick Rice and Roots Mission (www.rootsmission.org). Click HERE to learn more about their ongoing work on the Reservation to build & strengthen churches.
