Riverside Christian Academy’s administration and board of directors is pleased to announce that RCA has been chosen by Freed-Hardeman University to be the first school of distinction in its Pioneer Program, which is a partnership to advance Christian education between Kindergarten through twelfth-grade schools and higher institutions of learning.
RCA’s Board Chairman, Daniel Eldridge, said “This program is beneficial for RCA in many ways. The partnership with FHU brings a wide-range of dual enrollment opportunities for our high school students, opportunities for teacher certification and professional development that are unmatched, and research-based evidence for school improvement in educational best practices and business management."
This program has been a long-term project for Eldridge, who saw the possibility for a symbiotic relationship between institutions.
Some of the main benefits for RCA as a partner to FHU through the Pioneer Program are:
- 32 hours of free dual enrollment courses for RCA students
- Graduate program opportunities for RCA faculty
- Professional development through the Bobbie Solley Center for Excellence in Teaching
- Academic resources
